mid year symposium

I learned much at the symposium yesterday; there were lots of projects being displayed. I learned that the pedestrian traffic at BSU horrendously backs up travel times for those who try to drive around campus. There are many proposals as to fixing the problem both long and short term including reworking crosswalks, and posting traffic lights on campus. I also learned about algenate, a rubbery mixture that comes in powder form and is used to make casts out of plastic, concrete, and sand. It was used by our rt students to make life casts of their faces and various appendages. I found that Woodward is the most desired dorm, and that there is no upperclassman honors residence halls, something 90 % of college campuses have, and something i'd be very interested in. the last thing i learned about was the international affairs center on campus, I've always known they were there on the third floor of the Maxwell library, but never paid them much heed. I found out that they have lots of valuable resources and information for travel! much like our own travel agency! well, that's what I learned at the symposium.
