second post
So, I'm not entirely sure what this one is to be concerning, so i figure i'll talk about my observations. i chose to regard the people who hang out in the music lounge before, during, and after their class. I only had an hour or so, but it was very insightful. having run with the drama and choir crowd in high school, but been separated from it lately it was strange to see similarities and differences from what i had come to expect of musicians. they did not ask what i was doing or why i was there, they barely seemed mildly interested! the longer i was there, the more people there were. most of the morning gossip centered on the assignment to be for the next class, and the music they were presently playing or listening to. dress was casual and comfy, speech was common, not vulgar. these people were entirely at ease with themselves and their peers by all outward appearances.

You seemed to blend in very well. What were the similarities an differences when you compare the crowd now to the crowd you ran with in high school?
ReplyDeleteNice!! You took my advice!! I suggest that you consider this as your community...I could be a great agent in introducing you to fellow musicians :).
ReplyDeleteWhat aspect of the musician community do you suppose you will focus on the most? What do you and did you find so fascinating about music and musicians?
